Turning Point Community Services (TPCS): TPCS Inc., is a community-based organization designed to address the needs of underserved people, especially women and children, in Essex and Union Counties of New Jersey, offering emergency housing and supportive services. Their primary mission is to serve women and children who are experiencing homelessness. Their goal is to develop and implement programs that facilitate a person's ability to become self-sufficient by helping to break the cycles of violence, substance abuse, poverty, and incarceration that have permeated their lives and have placed them at risk for prolonged periods of homelessness. CannaMommy.org Foundation: Our mission is to create a safe space for mothers and families to gain access to the most current legal and medical information available with no fear of judgment or stigma. The rights of medical marijuana patients in the removal, dependency and child custody contexts are still unresolved. Defending your rights can be very difficult, especially because many people in the system, including Child Protective Services (CPS) workers, attorneys and judges can be biased against parents who are medical marijuana patients.
